Orxy is a viable alternative to Orbot, designed to work seamlessly on the latest Android devices. Utilizing The Onion Router (Tor) network, Orxy ensures the protection of network traffic by encrypting data and routing it through various global points to obscure the connection origin. Consequently, when using Orxy, the websites you visit may perceive your location as being from a different country.

Moreover, Orxy facilitates the recognition of .onion addresses by applications, directing users to special names that lead to hidden services within the Tor network, commonly known as the 'Hidden Web,' 'Dark Net,' or 'Deep Web.' To leverage Orxy’s benefits, it is essential to configure applications to utilize it as a proxy. Orxy offers a local Socks5 proxy on ports 6150 and 9050, along with an HTTP proxy on port 8118.

For users seeking a hassle-free experience and aiming to safeguard apps without proxy settings – such as YouTube, bitcoin clients, or the Play Store – installing the Orxify plugin (http://goo.gl/ymr12A) is recommended. Notably, Orxify manages app traffic seamlessly and transparently without necessitating specific configurations or root access, thus mitigating potential information leaks.

Besides Tor's traffic anonymization capabilities, users have the option to subscribe to Orxy’s proxy service, shielding Tor traffic from Internet Service Providers (ISPs).
